Youth 2 Youth Advocates for Justice is a youth-centered leadership program that advocates for social and racial justice and the prevention of violence in all of its forms.
We strive to educate ourselves and others about the importance of fostering healthy relationships at home, in school and in our community.
We are not your leaders of the future, we are leaders NOW!
Roots of Healthy Relationships Program 2018-2019 School Year
With adult mentorship and support, Y2Y West High School youth teach middle school students a pre-teen focused program adapted from the Discovery Dating, It’s not just about dating! curriculum developed by the Wise Woman Gathering Place in Green Bay, Wisconsin (wisewomengp.org). Students learn key concepts about healthy relationships and how to form and maintain positive relationships with their peers, teachers, mentors, family members and within their extended communities.
This highly interactive peer-to-peer, youth-led training program helps students identify healthy relationship norms, and builds informed-decision-making skills for safety. Students develop and improve their communication and leadership skills, build self-esteem, and practice personal goal-setting for a lifetime of success.
