Nominations Open for 2019 Daisy Frazier Social Justice Award
Daisy Frazier is a highly-recognized and admired social justice advocate and President of Ebony Vision, Inc., in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
This namesake award honors a person or organization that is leading sustainable race equity and social justice work that results in visible reduction of barriers to success in the community.
The winner of this award is a person or organization that demonstrates a commitment to social justice in Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Brown or Outagamie Counties, who has championed the movement for change, and who has empowered others to do the same.
Previous award winners are Andrew Leavitt, Chancellor of UW Oshkosh; Rufus Frazier, Daisy Frazier’s mother and long-time Fond du Lac social justice advocate; and Dr. Kadihjia Kelley, an anti-racism ally, Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Stars Counseling in Appleton, WI.
The award will be presented at Fit Oshkosh’s Annual Fundraising Dinner on Thursday, August 8, at the Best Western Premier and Conference Center in Oshkosh, WI.
